Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska -(Cha Cha Cha): Jason kept his head looking down too much during his solo dancing, looking at his feet or Edyta’s feet, which I found distracting. The choreography was fun, though. Scores: 8/8/8
Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough – (Rumba): That was one beautiful routine. Elegant, graceful, and romantic. It almost is enough to actually get me to vote. The judges were not as positive, though, saying her hips and feet were problematic. Samantha Harris pressured them backstage to reveal if they there was anything more to their relationship than the show. They both said that they were focused on the show, although Derek admitted that they got into the romance of the routine when they rehearsed on the beach. Scores: 8/8/8
Marlee Matlin and Fabian Sanchez – (Mambo) I liked her tiger striped outfit, but I thought the routine were lacking. The only time her hips moved enough is when Fabian physically moved them. Scores: 7/7/7
Cristià¡n de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke – (Fox Trot): Cheryl’s feathery dress reminded me of Hostess Snowballs. I thought it was a great routine and may be the best he has done. Very elegant and well-executed. Len said that if they are in the bottom two tomorrow he will show his “bum” in the supermarket. Scores: 9/9/9
Marissa Jaret Winokur and Tony Dovolani – (Viennese Waltz): This was a very elegant, sweet routine and I thought Marissa did great. Tom joked afterward that she looked 5’10, even though she is really only 4’11“. Scores: 9/8/9
Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas – (Jive): They did a super fun 50s bobby socks kind of theme, although I thought Mark’s “geek” glasses were a bit silly. Overall, it was a fabulous routine and it really shows that they are in a class by themselves. Scores: 10/10/10
Mario and Karina Smirnoff – (Rumba): It was a very steamy routine, set to “Get it On.” Len thought it was too raunchy, while Bruno loved it and Carrie Ann said it was better than good sex. Scores:9/9/10
Following the pair dances, they all performed a group country dance.
Who do you think is going home this week? I am guessing Marlee Matlin.
